Job Description

The Advanced Engineering group is researching the use of generative AI to enhance the realism of synthetic data used to train sensor fusion and perception networks, as well as to generate entirely new scenes. The group is also researching the use of large language models to assist with scenario generation and AI explainability challenges. These innovative efforts are not only aimed at increasing the cost-effectiveness, diversity, and reusability of training data but also at revolutionizing the way AI systems learn and interact with the world. By leading these advancements, the Advanced Engineering group is shaping the future of AI development and deployment.Main Job Tasks, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive literature surveys, proofs of concepts, and product-oriented algorithms research.Design Python-level algorithm reference code for various applications.Plan and design test metrics and evaluation methods to assess the performance of developed algorithms.Propose innovative algorithms and simulation methods to enhance product capabilities.Perform design reviews, ensuring the quality and efficiency of algorithmic solutions.Share knowledge and insights within the team through collaborative discussions.Contribute to the development, integration, and testing of the code base.Collaborate with the team to deploy knowledge and technology throughout the company.Attend relevant meetings necessary for the position.Organize tasks and coordinate work with other LeddarTech groups.The Ideal person for this job will havePhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.Expertise in robotic and machine learning algorithm development.Proficiency in 3D sensors simulation.Research experience in Neural Radiance Field.Practical experience in DNN (Deep Neural Network) training.Strong Python coding skills.Proven experience in algorithm development and innovations in robotics, machine learning, and sensors simulation.Relevant experience in research projects related to the applied sciences.Previous experience in deploying algorithms to real-world applications.Familiarity with Lidar technology and sensor fusion.Experience with edge computing and optimization for resource-constrained environments.Publications in renowned conferences and journals related to artificial intelligence and algorithms.
