Job Description

Everguard Fire Safety is supported by highly experienced, fully trained and certified technicians focused on Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems, along with Safety Equipment and Products with a national client base. Everguard inspect, commissions, repairs, maintains, installs and services what they sell. The Technical Service and Life Safety Teams operate in a variety of industries including: Industrial, Municipal, Commercial, Energy, Mining, Forestry, and Construction.

On their behalf, we are seeking a President to lead the strategic direction, identify and develop strategic business opportunities and to ensure the management group is prepared and capable of leading and managing the growth of the company. The President will report to the owner of the company.

The President will participate in negotiations of major business transactions and direct the integration of acquisitions within the company. With strong financial aptitude, you will take part in the financial strategy, marketing, HR and general business. You will have responsibility for all significant expenditures and prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts. You will recommend whether to participate in expansion opportunities and significant projects. You will develop and maintain relationships with clients and key suppliers to capitalize on opportunities. In conjunction with the management team, you will set acceptable margins on tendered work and review and sign major tender submissions, contracts. Managing the team, including individual performance management, providing input on compensation of employees and recommending new positions will be a part of the President’s responsibilities. The President will ensure profit performance is acceptable and on target. 

As the ideal candidate, you will have a university degree combined with ten to fifteen years experience in an executive position in a relevant industry. You will have led multiple divisions, department managers, sales / BD teams and have executed best in class operational management. A skilled negotiator, you reach agreements that are mutually beneficial and recognize that both parties must prosper. You have a natural sense of ambition and consider yourself a change leader, constantly challenging the status quo.
