Design:

  1. SMPS – Switching Amplifiers – DC/DC Converters - Magnetics
  2. Layout – Schematic Capture – Board layout
  3. Bring-up – Verify samples – Prototyping – Quality control – Efficiency Testing

Surrounded in green space in Port Perry, Ontario, our high-tech production facility features a variety of cutting-edge technologies, such as high-speed SMT, selective solder, laser machining, CNC machining, CNC metal forming, and powder coating.

Our current electronics products include – SMPS – Modular Class D power – Network Endpoints – Gateways – Display Modules

We are adding new talent to our Power Electronics Engineering team with the purpose of revising and adding to this product line-up.

The successful candidate will have the following proven experience and understanding:

  1. Switched Mode Power Supplies (0.5 – 5kW) - DC/DC converters
  2. Specification development
  3. Schematic development
  4. Circuit simulation (Spice) PCB simulation
  5. Power Factor Correction
  6. Gate drive topology
  7. PWM
  8. Magnetics – SMPS transformers – Power Inductors – Chokes
  9. EMI/EMC Compliance procedures
  10. P/E board design
  11. HV and grounding rules

Beneficial experience that will give the applicant a distinct advantage will include:

  1. Class “D” power amplifiers
  2. Safety standards
  3. Proficiency with Altium Designer

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  2. Design for manufacture
  3. Skilled with required lab test equipment
  4. Prototyping/board bring-up
  5. 5+ years of relevant experience
