Posted Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 5:00 AM Job Summary Reporting to the VP, Insurance Risk, the Portfolio Insurance Managerwill assume responsibility for and focus on the overall management of all portfolio insurance related activities within the business. Responsibilities Execute on the portfolio insurance strategy – optimize internal processes ensuring best-in-class service delivery while also ensuring appropriate due diligence is completed on all new portfolio insurance transactions. Provide subject-matter expertise related to securitization and regulatory requirements. Develop customized portfolio insurance proposals for presentation to lenders. Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure that portfolio insurance products and processes are meeting their needs. Lead assessments of lender underwriting policies and procedures for potential portfolio insurance transactions. Draft internal approval memos for portfolio insurance transactions and manage deliverables to the customer. Oversee new portfolio insurance exposure against internal risk appetite tolerances and limits; proactively assess compliance through on-going portfolio reporting and analytics. Report risk appetite breaches in a timely manner and provide recommendations for mitigation to the senior leadership team. Manage portfolio to established business parameters and service level agreements. Manage monthly tranche processes and ongoing administration related to portfolio insurance (substitutions, repayments, refunds, etc.). Work closely with Legal to draft and approve portfolio insurance commitments with customers. Champion continuous improvement of portfolio insurance products, processes and systems. Skills and Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience in a mortgage lending environment focused in securitization. Deep understanding of securitization processes, requirements and regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and muti-task while maintaining a focus on accuracy. Advanced analytical skills leveraging business intelligence and data analytics tools. Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong customer centric focus Proactive, results-oriented, strong problem-solving attitude, and a team player.
