Job Description
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure cloud services, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies. This candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security in alignment with industry best practices.This role requires a strategic understanding of a multi-cloud environment, including expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IAC) applications, as well as experience with major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. The ideal candidate will bring a forward-thinking approach to the table, capable of adapting to rapid technological changes in a complex and evolving landscape. Required Qualifications:A degree in Computer Science or 10 years of equivalent practical experience. Significant experience in all aspects of cloud computing (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data), along with knowledge of the cloud market and competitive dynamics. Knowledge of current infrastructure automation & continuous integration/deployment using Terraform. Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell. Hands-on experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Ansible. In-depth knowledge of networking, and cloud-based delivery models. Certifications in Cloud Architecture (Terraform, Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, K8S) are highly regarded. Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates, and key management. Strong understanding of and experience with open-source server software. Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. Experience with Secret Manager solutions like HashiCorp vault / Google Secret Manager. Exposure to cloud-native monitoring solutions like AWS CloudWatch GPP Cloud Monitoring or similarResponsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on the Azure platform.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning, deployment, and configuration of cloud resources.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define infrastructure architecture, and implement solutions that meet business needs.Implement security best practices and compliance standards to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and scalability.Continuously evaluate new cloud technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure capabilities and efficiency.Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and support.This is a contract position with an initial duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.
