Investing years into R&D to create the safest containment system in the world and taking on the industry status quo to petition for higher standards in sharps protection, we witnessed an 80+ percent reduction in disposal-related needlestick injuries nationwide. And then we kept going...We are looking to hire a Plant Operator - Team Lead for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in our Brampton plant. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems along with being responsible for production targets.Responsibilities:Lead team.Ensure production targets are achieved.Receiving and processing of the various bio medical waste streams.Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.Ensures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately.Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Plant Supervisor.Job stability– as an essential service to healthcare we are non-seasonal and recession proof.Opportunities for overtime– we always need extra hands on deck so overtime opportunities are plentifulConsistent work hours– Monday– Friday 3:30pm - 2:00am Benefits – Full time roles are provided benefits, RRSP programPermanent position – This is a Full-time permanent role of 40 hours per weekCompetitive salary – This position is offering competitive hourly rate of $21/hr.
