Employing 78,500 people at 3,390 operating locations in 29 countries, CRH has market leadership positions in both North America and Europe.Why Work with Us?We are a global leader in construction services and materialsRewarding career development in Canada and InternationallyGroup Medical, Extended Health and Dental Plan starting from Day 1Defined Contribution Pension PlanService AwardsDiscounts on gym membership, telecommunications, home and auto insuranceLocation: Kitchener, OntarioJob Responsibilities:Plant Operators are responsible for the supervision and for the day-to-day activities at the plant location, operating within the framework of established policies and procedures.Responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of the plant, within the framework of a Centrally Distributed Structure.The Plant Operator provides leadership to ensure good morale and employee relations at the plant while facilitating communication between the plant, Drivers, other Management and Distribution with accuracy and timeliness.Daily and Weekly Plant InspectionsMonitor slump times of various drivers – based on information provided by distributionCoordinate with Distribution supply requirementsEstablish a good Supervisor rapport with the driversAttempt to investigate any potential issues developing at the plant and initiate any immediate corrective action or seek support from other management resourcesUnderstand current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)Coordinate and Lead Plant Team MeetingsParticipate in annual safety audits and preparation work for the annual safety auditsReview the Truck Outage Report and track Plant Trucks out of service. Coordinate with distribution to ensure drivers have trucks.Conduct weekly cleanliness inspection of the plant fleet.Issue keys to the assigned trucks in the morning – verifying the proper condition of the driver.Meet Monthly testing targetsIncident reportsRequirements:High School diploma/GED1-3 years related experience and/or training performing batching, plant operation, blending or quality assurance functionsMust possess a valid driver’s license.
