We are seeking an energetic person with experience in a plant environment to maintain plant equipment, specifically sewing machines and computerized cutting machines . Main Responsibilities: Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring production machinery and equipment is operational in order to meet manufacturing and safety requirements. Core Responsibilities: Provide maintenance to machinery, equipment, and the facility to ensure uninterrupted production Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on sewing machines and computerized cutting machines safely, independently, and efficiently to minimize production downtime Support and complete equipment repairs under guidance of 3rd party/remote technical experts using phone or video calls Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic machinery and other industrial equipment as required Monitor each department for machine repairs and complete as needed. Follow monthly preventative maintenance (PM) on production-related machinery (i.e. RF welding machines, Grommet machines, Punch presses, Spray booth, Screen printing dryer, Strip cutters, Steam boiler, and Cutting Machines) Complete reports and document Preventative Maintenance per template Ensure machinery and equipment meets all safety requirements and guards are in place. Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Abilities Required: Minimum grade 12 Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on Production experience. Mechanical Aptitude, technical experience trouble shooting and repairing Sewing Machines Must have excellent organizational skills, as well as written and oral communication skills Must be comfortable working with numbers and conversions Must be able to prioritize responsibilities with competing deadlines and multitask to complete tasks on time.
