Job Title: Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager – Maintenance Upgrade Projects(heavy Industrial Metal - Iron, Steel )Location: Stoney Creek - Hamilton- St. Catherines area, ONSalary: $140-150K group benefits, etc.Full time permanent.5 days’ work on-site- heavy, hot, dirty industrial environment.Mechanical Engineering degree -MUST (No exceptions)Maintenance Related ProjectsExisting Equipment UpgradesMaintenance Crew Leadership (2-3 persons) Heavy Industrial Our client is a well-established manufacturer in the Heavy Industrial Equipment / Machinery manufacturing and have a job open for Plant Engineering Manager Leading Daily Maintenance and projects related to existing equipment upgrades. This is a people leadership role responsible for initiating and leading Plant Engineering & Maintenance projects (replacement, parts inventory, Kaizen, Kanban CMMS and similar). The role is based in Hamilton-Stoney Creek -St. Catherines area and will require 5 days a week on-site in a heavy industrial dirty, hot work environment. Mechanical Engineering degree is a MUST, Project management approach and or an equivalent 10-15 years heavy industrial millwright maintenance leader experience.Plant Engineering Manager is a hands-on, role-up-the-sleeve job to work close to the plant equipment, analyze existing equipment / machinery health, oversee any new installations and commissioning, work with OEMs and vendors to create new equipment feasibility reports, ROI, select equipment and vendors and run the projects; report on costs and time milestones; provide leadership to plant maintenance team (1-2 direct reports) ensure minimal downtime, work projects to improve preventative and predictive maintenance, initiate projects on CMMS, equipment upgrades / replacements and work alongside electrical mechanical contractors for installation, commissioning and equipment repair. This is a hot dirty work environment and will need you to be on the floor to provide leadership guidance and overall equipment responsibility. Plant Engineering Manager will have experience from heavy metal industry, Mechanical Engineering degree (MUST) or relevant equivalent 10-15 years’ as plant Maintenance millwright to be able to report on project milestones, selecting equipment, select and manage contractors, ; 8-10 years leading maintenance installation commissioning in the existing site providing leadership to plant engineering and maintenance in heavy industrial machine equipment. Strong experience in selecting equipment, working with OEMs of heavy machinery for metal iron steel and similar.Qualified applicants already in south western Ontario (Cambridge -Kitchener- Guelph -Stoney Creek -Hamilton -Burlington -Woodstock area ) able to work 5 days from Hamilton- St. Catherines area, with a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience, , 8-10 years strong Project management experience, projects related to Maintenance Management Systems, CMMS, Plant equipment replacement, asset health, refurbishment, equipment installation commissioning in existing sites are invited to forward their resumes in MS Word DOC, word version to Preeti.Dayal@hays.com .
