Webuild envisions, designs, and builds major works and infrastructure for sustainable mobility, hydropower, water, and green buildings.Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and we are currently seeking a Procurement SpecialistThis position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office.About the jobPLAA Manager – Downtown Toronto POSITION SUMMARY :The Permits, Licences, Approvals, and Agreements (PLAA) Manager will oversee all activities related to satisfying Project Co's obligations outlined in Schedule 34 – Permits, Licences, Approvals, and Agreements for the Ontario Line project. This includes managing the PLAA Tracker, obtaining and maintaining necessary permits and agreements, fostering relationships with Governmental Authorities and Stakeholders, and fulfilling responsibilities regarding the PLAA Advisory Committee.JOB REQUIREMENTSPermits, Licences, Approvals and Agreements Manager shall be responsible for all activities required to satisfy Project Co’s obligations set out in Schedule 34 – Permits, Licences, Approvals and Agreements, including:Managing the updates and maintenance of the Project PLAA Tracker and Project Co PLAA Tracking System (each as defined in Schedule 34 – Permits, Licences, Approvals and Agreements), including the permanent repository forming part thereof;Managing the processes required to obtain and maintain the Project Co Permits, Licences, Approvals and Agreements associated with the Project.Managing working relationships with Governmental Authorities and Stakeholders, ensuring that external Stakeholder agencies (including but not limited to the City of Toronto, TTC, MECP, TRCA, MTO and GO Transit) are engaged when appropriate to obtain feedback as necessary regarding applicable Permits, Licences, Approvals and Agreements.Managing plans and records related to Project Co Permits, Licences, Approvals and Agreements, including ensuring that required documents are uploaded to registries or otherwise transmitted as required by Contracting Authority and Governmental Authorities; andDetailed knowledge and extensive experience in acquiring permits, licenses, and approval requirements for major infrastructure and transit projects.Coordinate with team members from different design and construction disciplines to incorporate necessary input for each permit application in a timely manner.Track document submittals and alert team members of risks related to reports and plans due dates, coordinating Non-Conformance Reports with team members on extensions needed.Document and report progress on PLAA and document submissions, updating project leads with updates.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS15 years of work-related experience on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.A bachelor's or advanced degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Urban Planning, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Architecture, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures, and permit requirements, including the Ontario Water Resources Act, Building Code, Planning Act (Ontario), Metrolinx Act, 2006 (Ontario), Municipal Act (Ontario), railway corridor infrastructure, and related construction projects.Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Aconex, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.Working knowledge of plan review and approval procedures associated with major transportation infrastructure design and construction, primarily located on a public right-of-way.Ability to understand and interpret requirements and responsibilities articulated within project-related agreements related to PLAA.WORK ENVIRONMENTAt WeBuild, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes gender equity and the recruitment of under-represented groups at all levels of our workforce.
