Job Description

Our government based client located in Oakville is looking to add a Payroll Supervisor to their team! This is a 14 month contract with the possibility of extension and/or opportunity to turn permanent! This role will manage a team of four and oversee the payroll processing, delegate tasks amongst the team, manage performance reviews and more! They offer a hybrid work model!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee payroll processing for unionized employees
• Address any payroll inquiries or discrepancies with a high degree of professionalism
• Recruits and assesses staff performance making recommendations for training and development
• Identifies process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes
• Complete payroll reporting

Job Requirements

• 1+ years' experience managing a team in a large, unionized environment
• Strong payroll experience
• Ability to start right away
