From your first day, you will receive comprehensive training on our software and the specific tasks related to your role, allowing you to integrate quickly and efficiently.Advantages In this role as a Senior Payroll Technician, your benefits will include: Bonus: 2% (on base salary, based on company performance); 3 weeks of vacation; Flexible schedule; Health and dental; 5 state holidays with early leave; Free parking.ResponsibilitiesUpdate and validate employee information, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.Compliance:Stay abreast of changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements.Ensure payroll processes adhere to provincial and federal regulations. Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits related to payroll, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.Reporting:Generate and analyze payroll reports for management and other departments.Prepare and submit relevant payroll-related documentation and reports.Update and maintain accurate personnel information in Newstar/Ceridian including adding new hires and processing terminations. Prepare and enter journal entries in Newstar, Ceridian and/or Yardi. Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors.Address and respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner.QualificationsPost-secondary education or suitable professional training and experience as an alternative.Minimum 5 years payroll experience with salaried and hourly employees.A recognized payroll Professional Designation.Excellent interpersonal skills.Competence in written and verbal communications.Previous experience using Ceridian, SAP, or Newstar preferred.In-depth knowledge of CRA guidelines and payroll legislation.Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.A positive Police Check is required.Summary If you are interested in this position, Contact me. julien.goncalves@randsatd.ca Randstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
