Great Opportunity for a Payroll Administrator:Location: Concord, ONSalary: $60,000About Us:Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in delivering high-quality projects with a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. They pride themselves on their strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to their clients.Job Description:They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll administration, particularly within the construction industry, and will be responsible for various administrative tasks to support our operations.Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly union reports; cut checks; submit to multiple unions within deadline set by each union to avoid assessments and penaltiesComplete garnishments in relation to court requests and process accordingly in payroll system. Issue payroll cheques for multi-unionized employees without direct depositReport WSIB premiums on a monthly /quarterly basisAct as a primary contact for all payroll inquiries and requests from employeesUpdate expired Social insurance number, work permits and other general employee info. Process time sheets via excel, Time and Attendance systems, manual entry, Plex-Tech system.Processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, wage increases, pay rates, pay changes, union codes, hours and terminations is accurate and timelyWork with Accounting department to reconcile issues related to monthly bank statement and remit payroll deductionsTransmit the payroll weeklyUpdate/calculate employee record with HST/GST in a timely manner.File government forms as necessary, including T4s and ROEsKeep detailed files of payroll related employee documents, e-filing and inter-fillingVerify cheques for the employees to various financial institutions.Take leadership and train juniors/new hire to begin payroll transmission within the office team. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in payroll administration or a related field is a plus.Proficiency in payroll software and systems preferably PlexusProven experience in payroll administration, preferably within the construction industry.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this opportunity, we would be happy to schedule a phone call to discuss the position further.
