Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX Researcher to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience strategy for our products and services. You will lead and conduct research activities, providing valuable insights that inform design decisions and enhance the overall usability of our offerings.

What You Will Do:

  • Research Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive UX research strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.
  • User Interviews: Plan, conduct, and analyze user interviews to gain deep insights into user behaviors, pain points, and preferences
  • Usability Testing: Lead usability testing sessions, collect and analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations for improving product usability.
  • Surveys and Questionnaires: Design and implement surveys and questionnaires to gather quantitative data on user satisfaction and preferences
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and conduct competitive analyses to identify opportunities for innovation in user experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and developers to ensure a user-centered design approach throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Persona Development: Create and maintain user personas to guide design decisions and ensure a user-centric focus.
  • Accessibility: Advocate for accessibility in design and conduct research to ensure products meet diverse user needs.
  • Data Synthesis: Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.

What You Will Need:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a relevant experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX research, with a proven track record of leading successful research initiatives.
  • Methodologies: Proficiency in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics.
  • SQL Experience: Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Tools: Experience with industry-standard UX research tools and software.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex research findings in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing past UX research projects and the impact on product development.
