If this sounds like you, MacGillivray Injury and Insurance Law is seeking an experienced full-time Paralegal to work based out of our office in Halifax, NS.MacGillivray Injury and Insurance Law is a civil litigation boutique firm representing clients across Atlantic Canada and beyond. We currently have offices located in New Glasgow, NS; Halifax, NS; St. John's, NL; and Moncton, NB.Responsibilities Include:Assisting lawyers in preparation for mediation and judicial dispute resolutionsPreparing, drafting, and reviewing legal documents and correspondenceOrganizing and maintaining accurate records for filing and word processingResearching records, court files and other legal documentsSupporting and contacting clients to schedule appointments, communicate case progress, and to obtain or exchange informationQualifications:Post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent role-related education and experienceA minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a ParalegalProficiency and aptitude for working with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Case Management softwareExcellent attention to detail and proofreading skillsProven ability to work independently, take initiative and exercise sound judgementStrong written and verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skillsAble to be flexible, and adapt easily to changeExperience working in the field of personal injury law is an asset
