Summary:
FYidoctors in Castlegar and Trail are recruiting for a full-time Optometrist to join their practice in the West Kootenays of British Columbia. We are flexible with scheduling, but there is scope and patient volume for an OD to be busy 5 days per week split between the 2 clinics. Trail and Castlegar are a 25-minute drive apart. Alternatively, you could choose to practice 3 or 4 days per week, allowing for excellent work-life balance and the ability to take advantage of the region's fantastic outdoor activities. These clinics have been serving these communities for over 30 years, presenting a fantastic opportunity for the incoming OD to walk into a full book of patients. Our ODs are well supported by a talented and experienced team, which provides pretesting support and manages the dispensary and patient fittings. Our doctors are currently seeing 15-20 patients per day, with the vast majority being full exams. Trail and Castlegar have a diverse population group, and our patient base includes a nice variety of patients from young children to elderly patients who have been attending the clinic for a long time.
