We are a startup dedicated to solving the housing crisis for newcomers in Canada. Our online platform helps newcomers find monthly prepaid safe and affordable accommodation without the hassle of credit requests,
time consuming blind search or lump sum payment. Our mission is to provide newcomers with safe and affordable accommodation , while supporting them on building their credit score. As the team is growing, we are looking for an Operations Specialist to support the growth of our company and help set up new listings and communicate between internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and reporting directly to the CEO and Founder.
Job Summary:
The Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of moving furniture and household goods for clients within residential properties. This role involves managing the logistics of relocations, coordinating with moving companies, coordination with landlords and internal team, ensuring efficient and timely execution of moves, and providing excellent customer service throughout the process. This person will have the support of professional movers to support the move itself.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-contract inspection of new listings
- Post-contract set up of new listings
- Installation of cctv camera (very basic installation) and other gadgets
- Monthly and periodic inspection of each unit
- Pre, post and periodic video updates on the state of each unit.
- Manage guest viewing, check-in and check-out process
- Ensure copies of keys and other access materials and tools are safely kept
- Manage evacuation of delinquent guests
- Keep records of all activities per unit
- Ensure all utilities are paid on time
- Any other operational function
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid G driver’s license
- Have a car, van, or truck
- A smart phone with good camera
- Video and photo taking/editing skills
- Time management and leadership skills
- Proficiency in tech/SaaS, Microsoft Office suite and project management tools
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
