    Salary: $44.15 - $55.19 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

    As a valued member of TeamJDMI, you will play a key role in the support of and in collaboration with the Interventional Radiology clinical team to provide leadership and direction for services. The Operations Lead, Interventional Radiology will also work closely with the Interventional Radiology Director.

    Duties

    • Maintaining responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the Interventional Radiology (IR) Team
    • Provide leadership and direction to the interprofessional and administrative team assuming responsibility for the effective management of patient care and quality
    • Performing financial management responsibilities in collaboration with the financial manager/management team
    • Responsible for the management, operation and organizational effectiveness of the IR team
    • Manage all aspects of IR’s human resources and act as a main contact for TeamJDMI’s People & Culture Reps (assisting with full-cycle recruitment and hiring, providing department orientation, monitoring team-level and individual-level performance)
    • Supports organizational strategies and initiatives, and collaborates with management team to develop and implement quality improvement strategies/processes which are in alignment with UHN patient care standards and which enhance the patient experience, operational effectiveness and program efficiency
    • Develops, implements and manages long and short-term objectives for the stabilization and diversification/expansion of the IR Program
    • Performs various corporate management responsibilities which support and advance the Interventional Radiology team and UHN goals
    • Works in compliance of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies, and contravention’s of the Act, in a timely manner
      • Completion of a Master’s degree in regulated health profession or recognized equivalent
      • Membership in good standing with a Regulated Professional College (CMRITO or CNO)
      • 4 - 6 years practice and related experience within a Medical Imaging or Interventional Radiology department
      • Experience in a primary care environment, preferred
      • Demonstrated strong leadership and motivational skills, with a passion for leading teams
      • Adaptable and able to implements change and facilitate it’s acceptance by others
      • Working knowledge of computer, preferably Microsoft Office and Outlook applications
      • Has knowledge of UHN and departmental policies, procedures & protocols, and applicable legislative policies
      • Has knowledge of applicable legislation affecting human resources (i.e. Human Rights, Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, etc.)
      • Has knowledge of collaborative networks, primary care, and integrated health systems
      • Maintains and protects patient confidentiality in accordance with UHN Confidentiality policy requirements
      • Excellent recognizing, analyzing and resolving problems skills
      • Excellent decision making skills with the ability to form/defend independent judgment and to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
      • Excellent skills relating to service orientation, anticipating, recognizing and meeting customer needs required
      • Ability to work in a self directed manner
      • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
      • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards
      • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinion, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
