Our client, a top 5 banks in Canada, is looking for anOperational Risk Analyst to fill a 3-month contract located in downtown Toronto. This role is 1-2 days in office.This contract has a possibility of extension or conversion.As anOperational Risk Analystyour duties will include but not be limited to:Collaborate with the Director to lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of a comprehensive enterprise risk taxonomy, focusing on data analysis and interpretation to drive consistent risk management across the Bank. Engage with various stakeholders and senior management within risk groups to evaluate the implications of identified risks on system processes and reporting, fostering effective risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the bank-wide adoption of the newly designed risk taxonomy, ensuring a seamless integration of the taxonomy framework into the organization's risk management practices. Undertake specialized projects and investigations aligned with enterprise risk, responding to directives from the Director and senior management, while applying insightful analysis to drive informed decision-making. Play a pivotal role in championing a customer-centric culture, fostering a high-performance environment, and promoting inclusivity, while also leveraging an in-depth understanding of the Bank's risk appetite and culture to inform daily operational activities and choices. Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in risk management within Financial Industry. 1+ years of experience with Data Analytics. Experience working and or managing a project. Strong proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and other MS products (Word, PPT).
