Job Description

A well established, Alberta based General Contractor is looking to add a key player to their growing team. The Director, Business Development is accountable for performing activities that lead to the successful signing of new project opportunities. The person who fills this critical role will utilize their construction, development, and real estate industry contacts and knowledge to introduce, grow trust and accountability, add value and earn the opportunity for the company to participate in construction opportunities in Western Canada, with a keep focus on Calgary, Alberta. Accountabilities • Strategic Sales Activity • Project Opportunity Generation • Client Relationship Development • Proposal Preparation & Presentation • Successful Opportunity Closing • CRM Integration and Updates • Market & Industry Ambassador Core Competencies • Understand the target market • Execute strategy for growing market share • Execute Business Development Plan • Develop new clients active in commercial, mixed-use, select public, and track in CRM. • Periodically engage existing clients and monitor satisfaction with Keller (i.e., Check-ins, client relations, client surveys) • Generate and track leads that will result in project opportunities in line with current Business Development Strategy • Develop, track, and report on historical commercial submissions to assist in new pursuits • Actively participate in events and associations that contribute to the profile of the company in the industry, marketplace, and community • Manage the development and submission of proposals and participate in negotiations • Support the estimating team where necessary during competitive tenders • Leverage key contacts, Keller’s capabilities and integrity to grow awareness of Keller • Earn the opportunity for Keller to participate in construction tenders • Grow relationships into opportunities for Keller to be sole sourced for construction projects Employment Requirement and Qualifications • University degree in relevant discipline • Minimum of 7 years construction or real estate related experience • Well established in the Calgary community • Proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing construction projects • Leading emotional intelligence capabilities • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills • High skill and aptitude with technology • Demonstrated leadership abilities Compensation • Market-competitive base salary with incentive program • Flexible work arrangement • Interested?
