Clinical Research Coordinator

Reporting to the Head of Department, and working closely with IURDPM’s Scientific Director, the Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for implementing the research program and deploying activities related to IURDPM’s academic mission. More specifically, he or she ensures the link between researchers and clinical environments. He/she facilitates the development of research partnerships, plans knowledge transfer activities, welcomes research students, provides support to researchers and their staff, contributes to the scientific animation of the community, monitors compliance with ethical standards, contributes to the structuring and development of the University Institute and participates in accountability. She performs all other related tasks at the request of her immediate superior.

Search

  • Evaluate the local feasibility of research projects submitted to the IURDPM and participate in the various stages of their deployment.
  • Prepare letters of support for research projects submitted to granting agencies.

Knowledge transfer

  • Participate in the development and implementation of knowledge transfer programs resulting from work carried out by research teams.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge transfer tools, in collaboration with researchers and other stakeholders.

Collaboration and mobilization

  • Liaise between the various members of the Institute, such as researchers, clinical members, research professionals, students and cross-sector collaborators.
  • Organize, co-host and take charge of the logistical aspects of certain meetings (preparation of agendas and minutes, etc.).
  • Encourage internal and external dialogue with potential partners.
  • Support and mobilize clinicians in their participation in research and knowledge transfer activities.

Other aspects of the university mission

  • Contribute to the consolidation, development and outreach of IURDPM.
  • Collaborate on projects to develop evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Support technology and intervention mode evaluation projects (ETMI).

Accountability

  • Maintain records and support the department manager in developing and updating dashboards and statistics on activities related to the Institute.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual report and various reviews.

Profile required

Academic training

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as health or social sciences

Experience and knowledge required

  • Professional experience in research.
  • Good knowledge of the field of physical disability rehabilitation, particularly for sensory-language clients.
  • Experience in project coordination and collaboration development
  • Experience in knowledge transfer, valorization and mobilization.
  • Knowledge of research ethics an asset.

Languages and software

  • Excellent command of spoken and written French, ability to read English texts.
    Ability to express oneself and write in English an asset.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment, office software (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, Teams)
