Job Description

The global health and wellness scene is on track to hit a massive $5 trillion by 2025, all because people are realizing how important it is to live a healthy life and take care of their nutrition. Zak's requires an instore Certified Nutritional Counsellor (CNC) / Certified Holistic Nutritionist (CHN) to allow our business to compete with Huntsville and North Bay business consultants. The intern will study at the accredited Alive Academy for the 12 months of this course and work alongside Penny Stoker the owner for practical knowledge.

  • Responsibilities Create meal plans for clients who want to lose weight, add muscle or achieve other nutrition-related goals
  • Consult with clients on healthy nutrition and dietary choices, help them to purchase the right food and supplements
  • Author written meal plans for dissemination to members on our blog, social media and website
  • Design and implement wellness programs for customers, promoting healthy habits and behaviors 
  • Inspire others to prioritize their health and well-being by sharing passion and expertise in holistic nutrition through writing, speaking, and hosting workshops held in the store.
  • Nutrition: Studies & Applications - Learn how dietary choices impact health and disease. Use this knowledge to assist with customers who wish to purchase food and supplements to enhance their lifestyles.
  • Vegetarian Nutrition - Understand supporting the nutritional needs of vegetarian and how to transition to a vegetarian lifestyle. Explain to customers and clients who would like to transision to this way of life.
  • Nutritional Sciences - Explore the fundamental science of food and nutrition.
  • Nutritional Counselling - Teach customers about the advanced concepts of nutrition

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be willing to study after hours to complete qualifications.
