Job Description
Nurse Manager - Maternity Leave Contract 12-18 months
Lead a team of 40 nurses across the GTA, overseeing biologic infusions and IV medication services at Clinics.
Manage quality assurance, including audits of infusion centers, SOP development, and compliance with industry standards.
Coordinate the opening of new infusion clinics and the hiring/onboarding of nursing staff across Southern Ontario.
Direct AE reporting and pharmacovigilance training for staff.
Ensure confidentiality and safety practices, including regular checks of crash cart medications.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in the infusion department.
Qualifications:
Clinical Expertise: Extensive experience in nursing, particularly in administering biologic infusions and IV medications.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of nurses, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards related to infusion services and pharmacovigilance.
Quality Assurance: Experience in developing and implementing quality assurance programs, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to SOPs.
Team Management: Skill in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding nursing staff, with a focus on team development and performance management.
Process Improvement: Demonstrated capability in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care outcomes.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges related to infusion clinic operations.
Patient Safety: Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, safety practices, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Hybrid role with some travel to Clinics.
