Networking Product Verification Engineer

Lumentum is looking for a Networking Product Verification Engineer to play a leading role in the verification of the networking aspects of a new generation of leading edge optical communication products.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to define manual and automated product test strategies.
  • Document and review test plans with peers and stake holders.
  • Work with the team to automate and manually execute test plans.
  • Record and report test case execution progress and results.
  • Provide guidance to and share technical expertise with more junior members of the verification team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of embedded product verification experience.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Assets:

  • C# development experience for test case automation.
  • Experience working with LAG/LACP, LLDP, sZTP, BootZ, L3 ECMP.
  • Experience working other networking protocols - IP, UDP/TCP, DHCP, Layer 2 Ethernet/MAC, gRPC.
  • Knowledge of management interfaces such as OpenConfig, SNMP, gNMI.
  • Knowledge and use of Linux – Linux commands, scripting, syslog.
  • Understanding of hardware devices such as ADCs/DACs/Clocks/UART.
  • Ability to use a schematic to understand how electronic devices are connected.
  • Knowledge of optical telecommunications (DWDM/Optical Amplifiers/ROADMs/MEMs).
