Description: Position: Network System Administrator (NOC 22220) Position Available: 1 Wage: $31.50 per hour Duration: 35-40 hours per week Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Anticipated start date: As soon as possible Job Location: 4020 Viking Way Unit Richmond V6V 2L4 Job Duties: - Coordinate access and use of computer networks Install software Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software Provide problem-solving services to network users Implement data, software and hardware security procedures Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance Supervise technical staff Job Requirements: Language: English Education: Completion of one- or two-year college certificate is required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience is required/ Worked in an MSP Environment Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment Attention to detail.
