Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, innovative, and passionate individual to join our team as a Regional Director of Medical Imaging. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading large and efficient teams with strong skills relating to Strategic Leadership, Operational Management, Quality Assurance and Patient Care, Team Leadership and Development, Stakeholder Engagement, and Technology and Innovation.

Who you are

You have a worked in Medical Imaging (or related field) for a minimum of 10 years. You have experience in Leading large teams in efficient service delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Imaging field, Health Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Current registration with a recognized professional imaging body.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in medical imaging, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing multi-site imaging operations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level. French inquiries may be required at some points.

What you will do * Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the medical imaging department in alignment with Horizon Health Network’s mission and goals.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance imaging services, incorporating advanced technologies and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the department.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of medical imaging services across multiple sites, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Manage departmental budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Quality Assurance and Patient Care:
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate imaging services into patient care pathways, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic support.
  • Address patient and staff concerns promptly and effectively, maintaining a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of imaging professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Implement professional development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the imaging team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and community partners.
  • Represent the medical imaging department in various forums and committees within the Horizon Health Network.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing regular updates on departmental performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Technology and Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of imaging technologies within the healthcare network.
