Duration 6 Months with the possibility of extension

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a MuleSoft Developer for our Federal Government client.

Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
 
• Support the implementation of MuleSoft integrations relative to the backlog of use cases and 
prioritization and onboarding of new projects. Includes the following types of use patterns: 
o API Proxy Patterns
o Productized API Patterns (Mule Applications using API-Led approach)
• Support knowledge transfer and learning of team-members to ensure a smooth transition from 
integration development to support
• Provide required hands-on technical expertise (design and development) to implement use cases and 
demonstrate success criteria 
• Identify possible reusable patterns, templates, and artifacts from backlog of use cases
• Design integrations aligned to the solution architectures intended to support the prioritized projects and 
use cases
• Design the network patterns for ingress/egress traffic, including domains, path-based routing, and DNS 
configuration
• Design the system connectivity patterns, with consideration for client network/domain Isolation
• Design and implement PKI (e.g. TLS Certificates, End-to-End Encryption) approach for APIs
• Design approach to source control management, including feature, hotfix, and release management
• Enhance existing and new common assets that will address requirements 
• Perform and support testing including remediation of issues and improvements to overall solution 
architecture
• Documenting development and testing collateral relative to client standards and practices
• Provide support via phone / web meetings
• Participate in review of functional and technical requirements and design.
• Identify design options for out-of-the box functionality rather than customization to satisfy key 
requirements
• Provide recommendations on alternative approaches, where applicable
• Perform a design review which includes review of design documents and provide feedback and guidance 
on the proposed design approach
• Provide input and feedback on the implementation plan and sequence of events in development plans
• Provide deployment strategy consultation
• Provide recommendations regarding future development, including areas of concern with functional and 
application design
• Participate in design and working data model sessions, providing input to the development of functional 
and technical design documentation
• Identify common approaches for integration between the APIs and other platforms
• Review and validate proposed approach for addressing requirements
• Other related activities and deliverables, as required

Required Qualifications & Skills 
The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills:
• University degree or college diploma in computer science or a related field
• A minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated work experience in developing MuleSoft-based 
integration solutions
• A minimum of three (3) years of recent demonstrated work experience in an IT environment with 
significant cyber security and change control policies
• Demonstrated experience in creating user guides documentation
• Demonstrated experience with meeting room technology
• MuleSoft developer certification with recently demonstrated work experience highlighting:
o DataWeave
o RESTful API development
o SOAP
o JAVA
o JSON
o Enterprise Service Bus
o AMQ
o OpenShift
o GitHub source control
o Jenkins – CI/CD pipeline

Additional Qualifications 
The following will also be considered:
• Demonstrated ability to organize time and deliverables, and communicate effectively
• Ability to work and manage outcomes relative to an Agile methodology
• Demonstrated experience working with a central bank and related applications
