SkyAlyne – a partnership between current RCAF pilot training providers CAE and KF Aerospace – has been selected as the preferred bidder in the competition for the contract, expected to be awarded this year.https://skyalyne.ca/future-aircrew-training-canada/ Reporting to the FAcT Program Director, the FAcT Moose Jaw Site Transition Manager is dedicated to the CAE FAcT Program and holds a key role in standing up the training operations on site. This position will be accountable to build a team of approximately 5-8 direct reports with a total team size of approximately 160 employees. TheFAcT Moose Jaw Site Transition Managerwill be expected to: Act as the primary point of contact for the Moose Jaw site transition-in activities for CAE with SkyAlyne, other FAcT subcontractors and CanadaAct as the lead Moose Jaw site representative to Canada on behalf of SkyAlyneEstablish an organization of approximately 160 employees over the transition-in period to support stand-up of the training program and steady state operations at the Moose Jaw siteBuild the Fight Training Operations (FTO) team to support basic flight training on the Grob 120TP aircraft and advanced flight training on the PC-21 aircraftBuild the Acceptable Maintenance Organization (AMO) team to support the Grob 120TP and PC-21 aircraft for the Moose Jaw siteSupport the development and acceptance of training plans, courseware and training devices that will be deployed at the Moose Jaw siteSupport the acceptance of new infrastructure, aircraft, site services and other parts of the solution provided by SkyAlyne or its subcontractors at the Moose Jaw siteWork collaboratively with the Director of NFTC Operations to ensure FAcT transition-in activities do not impact current training activitiesFull program management and budget ownership of the scope of work under the responsibility of the Moose Jaw site stand-up and follow-on steady state training phaseSupport all required internal and external governance, working groups and integrated program teams related to the Moose Jaw site stand-upCollaborate with Program Management, Technical Integration Leader and Contract Management as key stakeholders to align activities and dependencies between the Moose Jaw site and other work streamsEstablish the operational processes to be used on site consistent with SkyAlyne and CAEEssential Qualifications: Bachelor'sdegree in a relevant business, engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experiencePMP or PRINCE2 certificationExtensive CAE and/or Defence & Security experience (minimum 10 years) preferredExperience in the RCAF is an assetProven experience in risk assessment, decision-making, and problem-solvingWell organized with strong analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to people at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to prevent and resolve urgent program issues and challengesExperience with MS Project and Planisware; Primavera experience would be an assetExcellent communication skills and ability to present complex scenarios to a wide range of audiencesAbility to work collaboratively across organizations with multiple stakeholdersResults-oriented mindset with strong attention to detailsGood knowledge of the Microsoft Office toolsEligibility to the Canadian NATO Secret clearanceFluency in English and French an assetPosition Type Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
