Job Description

TRG is hiring for a Millwright position for our client based in London, ON. As a licensed millwright, you will be responsible for daily production processes, meeting BU/Plant standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and financial performance. Location: London, ON Schedule: Monday to Friday (weekends as required) 3 shifts available, shift premiums on afternoon and night shift. Day 4:00pm-12:30pm Afternoon 3:00pm-11:30pm Night 11:00pm-7:30pm Fourth year apprenticeship candidates will be considered Job Duties and Responsibilities: Installing and maintaining process equipment and structures. Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication, pumps, and piping systems. Applying skills and knowledge of products, processes, areas, or machines. Understanding process, workflow and ability to read blueprints and layout drawings. Resolving problems and making recommendations on assignments. Operate motorized vehicles with components used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and amongst destinations (warehouses, storage yards, plant factories, railroad stations, offices, etc.) Comply with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements and Qualifications: Possession of Millwright License . (4th year apprentices will also be considered) Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree. Welding certification and/or other trade experience Must be legally entitled to work for the company in Canada. Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold. Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts. Able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces. Able to operate machinery and heavy equipment and lifting up to 50lbs. Forklift certified. Basic computer skills. Prior experience in production and manufacturing environment related work. Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning) Self-starter with ability to work effectively and lead within a team environment. Basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations with absolute commitment to safety. Strong problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the Maintenance Reliability process (predictive and preventative maintenance) and Predictive Technologies. Automation control, boiler and steam systems training and experience.
