The Technology Center (TC) designs and engineers Intero’s high-tech inspection robots and the software to analyze pipeline inspection data. We would like to start sharing the inspection data to a portal viewing mechanism. Recently, the software development group has moved to the Azure DevOps platform, and the existing publishing and release of applications and data should also move to the Azure environment. To make this project successful, we are hiring an Azure Architect to design the technical architecture of our portal in Azure. Additionally, the successful candidate will adapt the tools and data store to this new environment.
It is a contract role solely for the duration of the project. Incorporated and T4 contractors are welcome to apply.
Project Duration
- 3-6 months
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design of technical architecture to share inspection data via an Azure web portal
- Incorporate the existing data store functionality (C++ library with API-calls to obtain data) in the Azure technical architecture solution
- Incorporate various third-party components to manipulate and visualize the inspection data
- Use the latest Azure components and mature proven software frameworks for this solution
- Secure environment to protect the valuable customer data
- Select and implement/configure an authentication and authorization mechanism to access viewing functionality and data to be viewed
- Create a proof of concept that has all the required ingredients for the web portal (GUI design + Use cases are available)
- Share Azure knowledge, so that the implementation can be understood, maintained and extended after the assignment.
Your Profile
- BSc/MSc degree in Software Engineering or related field or proven track record in Azure technical architecture knowledge
- C++ knowledge is required for back-end data handling application
- Good verbal and writing skills in English
- 5-10 years of experience in the software business in a technical branch and/or technical-oriented software products
- Experience with (or knowledge of) design and requirements methodologies (UML, Use cases, etc.)
- Experience with DevOps practices and tooling e.g. Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines is required
- Experience in deploying cloud-applications within Azure environment is required
- Scrum certified (e.g. PSM-1) is an advantage
