Job Description

· Recruitmentincentives up to $15,000 for permanent Full-time.

· Startingsalary of $35.77/hour; $69,751.50/year (As per Step 1 of the OPSEU collectiveagreement.)

· Option toenroll into Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).

· Option toenroll into extended health care and dental care plan.

The Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) laboratoryis part of the Timmins Laboratory Services Partnership (TCLSP) which includes11 sites in collaboration with University Health Network (UHN). The TCLSP providesvalue driven laboratory diagnostic services to a network of hospital partnersand their communities.

TheMedical laboratory technologist (MLT) will be part of the TADH laboratory teamand will perform a variety of tests and procedures for the diagnosis,treatment, and prevention of disease. They will have the opportunity to elevatetheir skills in core laboratory (biochemistry, hematology, and transfusionmedicine), microbiology and histology.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an approved school forLaboratory Technology and registered with the CMLTO (MLT students and newgraduates who are in the process of writing the CSMLS certification are welcometo apply).
  • Employment history demonstrating regular workattendance.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) considered anasset.
  • Criminal background check (vulnerable sector)required.
  • Must have had at least one doses of the COVIDvaccine.
