Ashton is proud to be an active member of our local community with involvement in various philanthropic and socially responsible initiatives.To learn more about who we are check out our website: https://www.ashtonmechanical.ca/ResponsibilitiesManage mechanical contracting projects from pre-construction phase until completionManage projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team membersExecute projects throughout various stages including feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and closeoutEstablish and maintain project schedules and budgets, and manage overall project deliveryEnsure contractor compliance of life safety/OSHA requirements are met on all job sites to minimize riskManage submittal process, change order negotiations, and contract complianceWork with Controller on monitoring and reporting on project costs to establish percentage of completionProcess and send out project invoicing and statutory declarations; work with accounting department to monitor outstanding receivablesCommunicate with contractors/owners regarding outstanding billables/receivablesEstablish effective relationships and strive for a collaborative team environment with coworkersQualifications and RequirementsMinimum 3 years’ experience as a project managerPost secondary degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a combination of relevant education and experienceMust have experience in industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) new constructionProficient knowledge in ProcoreAbility to manage projects with $3 million value or higherAbility to interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection reports etc.Proficient knowledge of construction site processes, especially large institutional new constructionJourneyman trade certification or a related field is an assetGood general knowledge of all Plumbing and Heating including knowledge of the most recent BC Plumbing CodePossess a clean driving record and valid Driver’s License and can pass a criminal record checkExperience using email and Microsoft Office suiteJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Company carCompany eventsDental careDisability insuranceExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingPaid time offProfit sharingRRSP matchVision careSchedule:8 hour shiftSupplemental pay types:Bonus payOvertime payLicence/Certification:Canadian Residency or Valid Canadian Work Permit (required)Red Seal in plumbing or another related trade (preferred)Work Location: On the roadApplication deadline: 2023-03-12
