Position Title: Mechanical Maintenance Planner

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Research, prioritize and plan all resources needed for maintenance work and drive its safely and efficient execution.
  • Support the reliability program and develop new strategies that help sustain equipment reliability long term.
  • Use SAP to develop a daily work schedule to secure adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance.
  • Work with Lead hand to plan and execute tasks on priority.
  • Conduct regular review meetings for overdue, unplanned and pending work
  • Assist in the development of PM's, predictive maintenance, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Apply reliability analysis methods to new designs to determine system, asset and component reliability.
  • Support Maintenance to ensure all potential failures are entered into the work order system and follow up that action are complete.
  • Failure reporting, analysis and corrective actions with follow up systems.
  • Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
  • Coordinate work with suppliers and contractors
  • Develop solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.
  • Deal with Vendors on possible improvements or solutions to existing equipment or processes.
  • Develop specific maintenance and operational start up procedures for new installations
  • Help coordinate shutdowns and management of shutdown Gantt charts.
  • Develop machinery modification plans to deal with single point failure scenarios
  • Work with preferred supplier on recommended Standardization based on McCain Standard.
  • Maintain role specific KPI's set out by the company
  • Provide project support and coordination.
  • Passes on information, experiences and knowledge to other maintenance employees in regards to repair jobs, preventive maintenance, problem symptoms, etc. which he/she may be involved with during his/her shift
  • Maintains safety standards of equipment and work area according to established procedures and as instructed by the Supervisor
  • Required meeting participation.
  • Ensures work areas are kept clean, organized and tidy at all times
  • Works in a cost-effective manner and maintains a high standard of quality and excellent workmanship
  • Participate in ongoing training programs as required to maintain and enhance skills
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Time Management -- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • All other assigned tasks or functions as designated by the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)

  • Journeyman Certificate-Industrial Mechanic Millwright would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and SAP
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • 1- 3 years' relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
  • Must be a team player
  • Good technical knowledge and skills
  • Good interpersonal relationship
  • Good optimization skills
  • Thorough knowledge of plant operations
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with other.

Hourly Rate:

  • $ 49.92
