The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
Provide engineering support for production and maintenance tasks, including planning, design, and feasibility studies.
Evaluate operational and safety procedures for plant equipment, handling repairs when needed.
Assess practices and equipment performance, suggesting improvements.
Manage engineering projects, overseeing from start to finish and training staff as necessary.
Approve new equipment designs and ensure they meet regulations.
Work with the Senior Draftsperson to update drawings.
Conduct engineering studies and tests to solve technical problems.
Follow safety regulations and ensure safe work practices.
The required qualifications for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer are:
Over 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
Proficient in industrial mechanical design principles and adept at utilizing CAD/CAM systems.
Skilled in redesigning existing mechanical systems.
Proficient in designing hydraulic systems.
Experienced in conducting crane inspections and maintenance.
Experienced in designing and installing piping systems.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and P.Eng. designation.
