General DescriptionMechanical Designer works with our technical team to provide project support for the following product lines: TSLOTS, Troax, Rollon, Jokab, Hiwin, Proax extrusion, Zimmer, and other mechanical products. Mechanical designer will create designs and technical drawings for mechanical devices and equipment. The designer will work closely with our technical team and other professionals to create and improve automation systems or processes and develop drawings for a wide variety of machines.Job Duties / ResponsibilitiesProvide design, estimates, quotes, and technical issue resolution. Provide on-site technical support for designated vendor products and projects as directed by the Director of Business SolutionsSupport Technical Sales Rep with customer presentations for designated suppliers.Provide technical training to Proax Customers, Inside Sales and Technical Sales RepresentativesProvide input to the Director Business Solutions on items to carry in inventory.Exhibit professional, respectful interaction with customers and other team members.Accurately and professionally represent Proax Technologies to customers and vendors.Ability to meet objectives, through project planning and judgment.Demonstrate ability to accept overall project responsibility.Flexible to adopt other responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.Qualifications & Educational RequirementsDegree or Diploma in mechanical engineering5+ years experience in as a Mechanical Designer and EstimatorExceptional written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsDeep IT and CAD knowledgeStrong computer and mathematical skillsFlexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change.Able to work in a team environment.Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative.
