TDG has grown rapidly over the last 5 years and therefore we are searching for talented individuals to grow with our company.Job Description:Exterior & Interior design of lighting systems for locomotive and rail passenger vehiclesProduction of detailed 3D models, General Assemblies, and fabrication drawings using SolidworksPerform detailed 3D designs, drawings & bills of materialsRevise designs & drawings based on internal and customer feedback Develop creative and innovative engineered solutions that meet or exceed customer requirementsKeep project design records and filesMaintain an organized filing system for all CAD files according to TDG proceduresAdherence to timelines and schedulesRequirements and Experience1-3 years’ experience as a Mechanical DesignerExperience with 3D modeling software such as CATIA, Inventor, Pro-E, SolidEgde etc. Specific experience with SolidWorks an assetAdvanced skills in SolidWorks for sheet metal designKnowledge & design experience for manufacturing processes – CNC Machining , Sheet Metal, Metal & Plastic Extruding. Fabrication, 3D printing. (Injection Molding, Die-Casting, Stamping are an asset)Knowledge of GD&TBasic understanding of electronics / PCBKnowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent capacity for synthesis analysis and innovationWorking conditionsCompetitive salaryStable schedule from Monday to FridayEducationDiploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Design) / University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
