Artitalia Group is looking for a Mechanical Designer Engineer to join us.ResponsibilitiesCreate 3D models and drawings for manufacturing using SolidWorksCheck drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements and specificationsResearch and plan according to available informationWork directly with suppliers to propose and specify optimal, cost-effective solutions for materials or other purchases (e.g. lighting, specialized equipment, security systems, etc.).Select materials and finishes to best complement aesthetics, functionality and design intent, within the customer’s budget.Prepares detail, assembly and layout drawings necessary for parts and equipment to be fabricated, assembled, installed and maintained in accordance with applicable standards.Performs design and detailing activities, including all welding requirements, tolerances, material definition, machining, heat treatment, stress reduction and size definition.Value engineer – to propose further construction details, materials, finishes. To add value to a project by providing a cost-effective solution that does not compromise the original design intent or functionsCommunicate with project management, sales and production departments to ensure a smooth workflowRequirementsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering – required5 years’ experience in a similar position3 years experience with 3D CAD software: Solidworks 2014+ or equivalentExperience with sheet metalBilingual – English and FrenchPrevious experience in a manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with various forms of industrial equipment and manufacturing processesWorking HoursFull timeMonday to FridayAdvantages:Competitive salaryFlexible working hoursMedical and dental insuranceRRSP planExcellent team, positive environmentCome and join us in one of the best managed companies in Canada!#J-18808-Ljbffr
