Who you are You are an inventive, collaborative, and proactive Construction Field Engineer with proven expertise in building systems and a passion for smart energy solutions and environmental sustainability. As Construction Field Engineer, you will be a critical member of a small, versatile, and highly integrated team that works in tandem from design stage through completion on multi-million-dollar projects. What you will do Responsibilities will include oversight of health and safety compliance, management of daily on-site construction activity, and creative and often unconventional problem-solving to meet guaranteed project goals. Therefore, you will: · Oversee and ensure compliance with best practices for health and safety on the construction site · Manage daily on-site construction activity, including coordination with subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders as well as handling any necessary permitting and licensing · Manage and resolve technical challenges on-site by leveraging your knowledge, experience, and problem-solving skills to achieve project goals in more efficient and cost-effective ways · Demonstrate ability to challenge conventions when managing construction sites to find creative approaches for achieving project goals while also improving budgets and timelines, from design phase, through construction, to project delivery · Evaluate site conditions and develop solutions to perform work with minimal disruption at project locations where client and tenant activity is occurring on-site · Serve as the primary contact for project stakeholders during the entire implementation process · Collaborate with colleagues to continuously re-examine project investments and look for opportunities for cost efficiencies · Master all aspects of energy performance measures before committing to implementation · Attend to client needs while also meeting tight financial parameters · Establish a high level of collaboration with subcontractors, consider and leverage solutions they propose, and share innovations team-wide · Ensure project implementation meets company's guaranteed standards, and problem-solve for potential challenges Your profile Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical, structural, or energy engineering required. 5 years of experience in construction management Strength in applying a combination of theoretical expertise, intuition, past experience, and collaboration with other engineers to solve problems and connect knowledge with actual practice Solid planning and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft reports, present proposals, and communicate directly with stakeholders Ability work autonomously and demonstrate good judgment Valid driver’s license What Our Client offers Annual base salaries benchmarked and reviewed annually Generous paid time off package starting with 6 weeks per year (3 weeks of vacation per year , 5 personal days, office closure between Dec 25 and Jan 1 and 10 statutory holidays).
