Reference Number: M&E Project ManagerLocation: British Columbia, CanadaSalary: $ /yearSector: Construction and EngineeringShackleton Duke Ltd along with our client, a leading M&E Contractor with numerous offices and projects throughout Canada, are currently looking for a M&E Project Manager and a Lead M&E Project Coordinator to join their team in Vancouver, BC.The positions are required due to growth and imminent project wins in the arena. The M&E Project Managers will need ICI and P project build experience respectively.Position Description:Responsible for: Pre-Construction, engineering, and field installation of all M&E systems for the business unit or region.Reports to: Regional Operations Manager.M&E Project Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Leading, supervising, and developing all of my clients M&E staff, as well as overseeing the management of subcontractors on site whilst managing ICI projects from Start to Finish.Acting as the primary liaison and developing and maintaining relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner’s representatives.Managing the overall M&E pre-construction and procurement, budget, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close-out processes.Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and minimum years’ experience with progressively more responsible exposure to design, cost, sequence, logistics, and field installations of M&E systems or equivalent combination of training and experience. Able to identify design features that command cost premiums and recommend alternatives that deliver comparable or improved function.Demonstrated ability to present technical material. LEED accreditation preferred. Very strong oral & written communication skills required. Strong computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Physical Demands: Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
