The company’s success is based on our employees’ dedication to providing total customer satisfaction by supplying superior quality asphalt products combined with strong, experienced technical support.Position Summary In this role, your responsibilities as a 4th class Power Engineer will include, but not be limited to, being responsible for monitoring a hot oil heater, offloading and loading trucks coming to the plant, controlling the heat of the tanks using hot oil heaters, manufacturing asphaltic products, loading and offloading tankers, operating mobile equipment, preventative maintenance and other general duties at the McAsphalt Langley Facility. You will follow all standard operating procedures and policies established by the McAsphalt Operations department.Shift Information You will be required to work rotations between days, evenings, and nights on different work schedules including continental shift, weekends and be available to work overtime as required. This position is starting on our afternoon shift. April 01st to October 31st – Shift is 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM. On November 01st to March 31st 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM.Required Qualifications Power Engineer educationwith a valid 4th class steam ticketPrevious experiencewith high pressure boilers a strong assetA strong work ethicand ability to work in small teamsA reliable method of transportationto and from work in a timely mannerAbility to work effectivelyunder pressure, being responsible, resourceful, and autonomousAbility to work outdoors , at height, and in all environmentsExperience with pumps, piping, heat tracing, hot oil heaterswill be considered an assetExcellent verbal, written and presentation communicationsin English with a strong interpersonal attitudeProficient in the useof Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate level with strong organizational skillsLastly, a good sense of humorwill also be a great assetThe MCA Advantage SAFETYis not a priority, it's a VALUE at McAsphalt.
