MDM Developer - Data Engineering (Contract Position)Number of Positions: 1 Filled: 0 Duration: 3 months initial contractLocation: Cambridge, ON, CAMust be eligible to work in CanadaHybrid position 2 days/week onsite in Cambridge3-month initial contract, project slated to run for 9-12 months. Strong chance of extensionRoles and responsibilities:Accountability 1 Designing and Developing Master Data Management Solution- Develop, customize, and maintain master data management solutions, including data models, workflows, and business rules, to meet the organization's MDM requirements.- Design and implement data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow between different systems and applications.Accountability 2 Designing and Developing Front-end Interfaces- Utilize front-end frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Django to build dynamic and scalable web applications, leveraging component-based architecture and reusable UI elements.- Develop responsive and interactive web applications to manage master data.Accountability 3 Data Quality Management- Define quality criteria, measurements, and processes to track and enhance the reliability, completeness, and coherence of master data throughout the organization.- Ensure proper approval workflows are in place.Accountability 4 Optimization and Performance:- Optimize MDM processes and performance through performance tuning, scalability enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.Accountability 5 Governance and Compliance:- Implement data governance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance, data security, and privacy protection.Must have skills and experience:• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a master data management developer is required. This includes experience in data engineering, data system development, or related roles• Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Django.• Experience in developing and implementing master data management solutions, preferably in enterprise environments.• Knowledge of front-end optimization techniques and performance profiling tools.• Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and data governance concepts and best practices.• Exposure to cloud-based MDM solutions and technologies• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or SQL.• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.• Strong communication and collaboration skills.• Continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in Azure Databricks and data engineering are essential for success in this role.Nice to Have• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Django• Familiarity with cloud-based MDM solutions and technologies.
