Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Web Developer will combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of digital marketing principles to create engaging and effective web experiences. This role will involve collaborating closely with the marketing and communications team, product marketing team, business entities, as well as IT and data teams to build and optimize websites that drive traffic, engagement and conversions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Strategy Development Web Development: Work on multiple domains and websites for all business lines of the organization to support business needsAnalyze, debug and deliver clean, validated and maintainable code across all websites, as well as ensure integrity and quality controlTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website functionality, performance, and securityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment of brand messaging, design, and user experience across all websitesDevelop and implement layouts/templates, mockups and enhancements to both test and production environmentsOptimize website performance and user experience through monitoring and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure projects are delivered on-time and to the highest possible standard while collaborating with internal project teams to understand the business and user requirementsContribute to the development of coding standards, best practices and documentation to ensure code quality and maintainabilityRecommend alternative solutions, raising project issues and risks, as well as quality controlsActively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challengesDigital Marketing:Integrate third-party marketing tools and platforms (e.g., analytics, CRM, marketing automation) to track and measure website performancein the creation and optimization of landing pages and conversion funnels to maximize campaign performanceand analyze website traffic and user behavior to identify opportunities for optimization and improvementImplement SEO best practices to ensure websites are optimized for search engine visibility and performancekeyword research and analysis to inform content strategy and website optimization effortsin the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, in accordance with CASL and digital privacy best practices (e.g., email, social media, paid advertising)abreast of emerging digital marketing trends and technologies to propose innovative strategies and tacticsQUALIFICATIONS:Education and experience:Post-secondary education in Web Design, Development and/or JavaProven experience as a web developer with a focus on marketing or digital projects4-6 years of experience in front-end website development3+ years of experience within the investment industryExpertise in Java, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, JSTL/SP, Responsive Design and Content Management Systems (Open CMS, Jahia, WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud)Expertise in working with Bootstrap and experience working with HTML templating languagesFamiliarity with JavaScript-related and CSS-related browser cross-browser compatibility issuesKnowledge of Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.1, 508 Compliance)Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and methodologiesStrong understanding of SEO principles and best practicesExpertise in web analytics tools (GA4) and conversion tracking, web integration tools (GTM) and marketing automation platforms (Mailchimp, Pardot)Experience with GitHub, SQL, Salesforce and Marketing Cloud is considered an assetCommunication and collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams, such as compliance and other business unitsPositive “can-do” attitude and the ability to work amicably in a teamHighly motivated self-starter who works well with some autonomy and little direction but also understands when and how to appropriately involve others for supportAttention to detail, creativity, and quality: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in deliverablesValue quality and committed to a high level of service, responsiveness, and follow-through for both internal and external stakeholdersDesire and ability to learn and improve on an ongoing basis, taking ownership of the product and the roleTime management and organization:Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, shift priorities as needed, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentA quick learner with an intuitive mindset and excellent problem-solving skillsOpenness to work after hours when requiredCOMPENSATION:Commensurate with experience
