Job Description

Nature & Scope of PositionThe Marketing Manager- Capital Equipment is focused on capital equipment/medical devices and supporting consumables/services of those equipment manufacturers, used in the acute and non-acute areas.The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the market and strategies to drive market share growth and profitability in the assigned segment or platform. Specifically, they will develop and execute Strategic Marketing Plans, manage the brand image, create market opportunities, explore, and execute new product launches, and drive pricing/promotion excellence. The Market Manager will be responsible for maintaining the relationship between CHS and the vendors included in the portfolio and ensuring the vendors are delighted with their CHS experience. Additionally, they will teach, train, and coach sales representatives on products and initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Develop annual Strategic Marketing Plan for existing and new vendors / market segments.Energetically focus on growing market and channel share while increasing profitability.Research and analyze market and competitors; review and understand market and performance data. Recognize market, customer base and customer needs/wants within an ever-changing environment.Develop and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) as part of the vendor management process.Analyze and review data and solve problems using business intelligence tools.Work collaboratively with CHS reps and leadership on sales opportunities and issue resolution, spending 10-20% of time in the field with sales team and customers.Work with team in recommending action, scheduling, and planning projects, estimating cost, and managing projects to completion.Participate in senior staff decisions related to market development.Develop sales tools, promotions, and national pricing strategies.Prepare and deliver presentations as required.Lead major RFP and RFQ responses pertaining to portfolio.Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices to incorporate into the business. Work closely with our support functions (Regulatory, Contracts and Pricing, Supply Chain, Order Management) to advance needs of the portfolio.Collaborate with Channel Management, Sales Leaders and internal departments as appropriate.Knowledge, Experience & EducationBachelor’s Degree in Science or Business, MBA preferred; and 4 years of related experience with medical devices and capital equipment.Previous healthcare business and/or biomedical experience considered an asset.Proven team leadership skills are requiredLanguage Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customersExcellent communication and presentation skills are essentialTechnical Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and business intelligence (BI) report tool software experience, preferred.Knowledge of capital equipment terminology, procedures, and acute care environment.Other Skills and AbilitiesOrganizational, communication and time management skillsAttendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and overtime/weekends as required.Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required achieving internal and external customer satisfactionSalary Range - $95,000- $110,000 per year
