Marketing Manager – CanadaReports to: Head of CanadaLocation: Toronto, CASchedule: M-F, 9am-6pmFull-Time | Salary | Exempt About Big Machine Label Group: Led by Founder, President and CEO Scott Borchetta, the Big Machine Label Group encompasses Big Machine Records, The Valory Music Co., NHRE, Big Machine/John Varvatos Records, and publishing company Big Machine Music.Job Summary:The Marketing Manager – Canada role is responsible for helping drive BMLG’s marketing strategy, working alongside the Canadian and USA teams to execute all aspects of the marketing department’s day-to-day initiatives, translating business objectives into actionable marketing strategies. The ideal candidate has strong industry relationships, is organized, creative, analytical, strategic, and resourceful. You will be a key player in marketing execution, consumer growth, and business development. This role is both strategic and tactical; we’re therefore looking for someone who can wear different hats and thrives in such an environment.Job Responsibilities:Define, plan, and execute digital marketing campaigns for a roster of artists.Manage label partner relationships with key accounts and be the subject matter expert for all opportunities and processes related to that account.Maintain strong relationships with artist management and artists to be viewed as a resource for best practices and implementing digital marketing strategies.Partner with internal departments (marketing, radio, press, start team) to execute effective interactive strategies.Identify viral, digital word-of-mouth marketing opportunities with the goal of driving traffic, fan acquisition, and creating brand awareness for artists.Drive social media growth for all artists in Canada through increased engagement, activity, and relevant content posts.Actively participate in team meetings, discussions, and planning activities.Measure and analyze overall campaign performance and provide insights and key learnings to other departments.Collaborate with our branding and sync teams to develop ideas and opportunities in the Canadian market. Build out decks for partnership presentations. Help develop digital tools, campaigns with radio stations to create unique opportunities for our artist premieres, interviews, contesting.Build strategic relationships and partners with key industry players, and third parties.Communicate with UMC on our New music releases, events and BMLG news.Help to organize and lead both industry and consumer-facing events. Attending gigs, label meetings & promo appearances where required as a representative of BMLG.Co-ordinate and help facilitate meetings and presentations.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
