Role Introduction Cathay Pacific Airways is looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist to join the Vancouver Marketing Team in a salaried capacity. The successful candidate will support the planning and execution of effective regional and national campaigns, including creation and execution of Social Media campaigns and PR initiatives across travel, lifestyle and cargo pillars. Key Responsibilities Campaign & Agency ManagementSupport the development regional marketing campaignsSupport the adaptation and execution of global campaigns to suit the local marketEnsure all campaign / marketing materials are on brand and are kept up to dateLiaise with external marketing agencies as appropriate to expand customer reachSupport the effectiveness of local campaigns by checking local language and cultural considerationsSupport the Regional Marketing, PR and Digital Sales teams to implement activities across the markets and where necessary prepare creative briefs to meet local needsPartnershipsWork with agencies to deliver and execute marketing campaigns as requiredBrief local agencies to deliver campaign concepts through to production, execution and result evaluation as requiredAssist in devising partnerships aligned with global partnerships strategyEngage and manage relationships with local airports, tourist boards, partners and sponsors aligned with and in co-ordination with regional teamCommunicationsHelp to build and maintain strong local media relationships, contacts, and database with PR agencyArrange and support local media events, familiarisation trips, management interviews and public speaking and engagements as requiredAnalyze, track performance, and generate post-campaign reports and recommendations for future campaign optimizationManage editorial calendars, media budget planning and syndicate messaging schedules primarily across Facebook and Instagram.Social MarketingDesign, develop and execute comprehensive social media strategy to align with business goals, and drives brand awareness, relevance and consumer engagement while maximizing ROIOversee social media calendar, development of digital content strategy, creating, executing, promoting, and measuring the success of social marketing activitiesProactively identify and leverage emerging social media channels and opportunities by developing innovative strategies and approachesCoordinate the creation of social media assets and maintain visual brand identityMaximize brand and product exposure through integrating elementsOversee all social media activities while collaborating with regional and internal teams (sales, brand, operations, PR, etc) to optimize content management on social media, with a focus on brand perception, public opinion management, growing reach and engagementEnsure all content is fully optimized across all digital platforms via tagging, linking and rapidly implementing new social media technologyCreate comprehensive action plans for all macro projects to maximize brand and product exposureBridge between organic and paid social marketing activities, optimize the activities across all touchpointsDay-to-day management of social media platforms as neededGeneralProvide support to gain country and regional port updates into the local marketingenvironment in order to formulate plans to ensure maximum campaign effectLeverage databases and partnerships to ensure maximum customer reachSupport and/or execute regional events, as neededAny other reasonable task as requiredAgency ManagementAssist to prepare marketing briefs for local marketing, communications and socialE&AEmergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required Requirements Academic QualificationsPost-Secondary Diploma / Certificate in a relevant field such as, Marketing or Campaign Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is requiredKnowledge, Skills, Training and ExperienceKnowledge of, or experience in, the airline industry is a distinct advantageExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent level of PC literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPointKnowledge in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator is an advantageAdaptive to and embraces constant changeAdditional RequirementsMust successfully pass all pre-screening clearances, including a background check and pre-employment drug screen upon contingent job offerStrong cognitive reasoning and mathematical skills are essentialMust be willing and able to travel within North America and overseas, if requiredMust have the right to live in work in the CanadaMust comply with the Company’s mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination policyCathay Pacific Airways is proud to offer eligible employees competitive Compensation & Benefits package, as varied by location, regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment and employment status as highlighted below.Travel Privileges on Cathay Pacific Airways Global NetworkExtensive well-being programs including health, dental, prescription, vision, virtual doctor visits and flexible spending accounts and employee assistance program benefits to help you stay well.Pension Matching ProgramPaid Holiday & VacationLTD & Basic Life InsuranceIf this position requires a uniform, a uniform allowance will be provided.
