We are currently searching for an experienced Production Manager for our Fabrication & Assembly divisions. As a key member of the leadership team you will be responsible for designing the strategy and direction of the department in alignment with business objectives. You are a natural people person with proven skills coaching and motivating a highly technical team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a stable, growth oriented company that offers career development.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive measures to improve production SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) Responsible to set, organize & lead kaizen events with a cross-functional teamRegularly communicating with team members regarding issues impacting product, production, quality and safety across departmentsIdentify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, key performance indicators (KPI’s) including the engagement of external resources as requiredEstablish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurementImprove the overall performance of your team through implementation of lean initiatives Ability to organize and drive 5S/Kaizen while maintaining standardsAssist production control to plan production schedule as required and ensure it is being maintained to meet on time shipment of orders based on customer expectationsDevelop & train problem solving techniques to analyze, find root cause and permanently correct problems related to all aspects of cell operationDevelop/revise policies, procedures, and structure to support continuous improvement and employee empowermentQUALIFICATIONS:Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field5+ years of experience in a leadership positionStrong leadership background and ability to coordinate and direct team efforts Proven ability to work in manufacturing environment and perform against established performance standardsExperience leading a team through a lean transformation - organizing and driving 5S/Kaizen, etc. events and maintaining standardsCreative thinker with the ability to take on challenging assignments and deliver innovative solutions that benefit the company and our customersExcellent leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving skillsData driven with an analytical mind and a deep understanding of customers and their needsProven ability to effectively execute projects and comply with all regulations
