This opportunity provides the candidates the unique chance to work on innovative medical products, with the potential to significantly change the practice of medicine in the care of patients suffering from a wide range of highly debilitating vascular diseases.SUMMARY OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Examine and diagnose off the shelf and custom manufacturing equipment to correct all operating issues; make equipment adjustments or repairs by replacing broken/worn parts.• Provide support for Manufacturing Operators with equipment setup if needed.• Provide support for Manufacturing Engineers with planned equipment preventive maintenance (PM) activities.• Document results of all completed equipment adjustments, repairs & planned PM activities.• Ensure and maintain proper stock of spare parts and supplies by selecting the most cost effective sources and submitting purchase requisitions to manager for approval.• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Senior Manufacturing Supervisor to identify new or updates for equipment, tooling and fixtures to optimize manufacturing processes, increase up time, meet daily production schedules and increase yields.• Provide support for equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ) including developing and conducting test protocols and documenting the results to bring the equipment into service.• Provide daily update to Senior Manufacturing Supervisor on work status or equipment problems with recommendations for improvement or correction.• Notify manufacturing equipment users of repair status and delays as necessary.• Provide on-call service coverage for nights/weekends.• Perform other tasks and duties as required to contribute to the overall success of the team and organization.EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in performing corrective and planned maintenance activities for medical device manufacturing equipment.• Knowledge of various manufacturing equipment principles of operation to guide repairs.• Use basic hand tools and/or test equipment for equipment setup, adjustment, repair and maintenance.• Train operators on proper setup and use of manufacturing equipment.• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials as needed per current OSHA standards.• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to frequently changing work priorities.• Team player with a strong work ethic, strong problem solving skills, creative thinking, good decision making skills, high attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills.• Experience with biomedical fiber optic manufacturing equipment is a plus.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:• High School diploma plus minimum of 3 years of experience performing corrective and planned maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment in a FDA/ISO regulated medical device/medical equipment industry.
