This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

Compensation Range: 65,000-81,000

Enersys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The position will focus on supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, addressing manufacturing issues, and executing sustaining and continuous improvement projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conducting hands-on investigations of manufacturing escalations, implementing Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles, leading cost reduction projects, and coordinating the setup and validation of new production lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product introduction projects.
- Lead production transfer activities, including the creation of work instructions, design manufacturing processes and equipment, and conducting manufacturing training.
- Developing build plans for custom and configurable product families using LEAN principles.
- Creating and maintaining build documentation and standards
- Leading improvement projects to improve flow and reduce product cost.
- Being an active and positive contributor in support of the Operations team’s objectives
- Participate in design for manufacturing and assembly reviews. Conduct design improvements and cost reduction activities, leveraging knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and process capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years as an engineer in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge and experience with electrical test procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written an strong communication skills, observation, and analytical skills to troubleshoot process and quality-related issues.
