Railway Manufacturing Testing support Engineer Location: La Pocatiere, Quebec, Canada.Duration: 12 monthsOnly OnsiteAny VISAMust Have: Railway is must1. Mechanical and Electrical testing of train systems2. Develop test procedures3. Troubleshoot train system by providing Solutions4. Test and correct wiring issues for rail systemsJob Description: Support train testing, troubleshoot and correct problems for Mechanical and Electrical systems/sub-systems of Train. Develop Test reports, test procedures and reports for all systems. Support is on site, on shift, and outside based on requirement (Travel to other project sites required)Responsibilities:Manufacturing Testing Support Engineers are expected to provide technical assistance to:Support train testing of all electrical/electronic/mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and correct problems as required.Perform continuity, voltage, and current checks on train systems wiring.Perform Pneumatic and/or Hydraulic system functional testing.Correctly document Test Reports and all associated paperwork.Develop Test Procedures and Reports for all Systems based on engineering documentation, customer specifications, Alstom and supplier information.Analyze System faults and repetitive issues, provide feedback and implement Solutions.Interface with Engineering and Vendors alike to resolve issues.Support all groups with Test technical expertise and knowledge.Test, troubleshoot and correct wiring issues on various train networks such as Ethernet, LAN and CAN Bus.Upload software in all systems components. He or she is located at onsite location in La Pocatière, Quebec, Canada and expected to be available to perform the services on day and or night shifts from Monday to Friday. Occasionally will be required to cover weekend activities.Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Or) TechnicianExperience: Knowledge of rail industry is mandatory.More than 5 years of experience in the customer interface, with on-site assignments, for Operations, Testing and troubleshooting activities.Excellent knowledge of transit workshops and operating environment with respect to processes, procedures, and safety.Must have a working knowledge and ability to read and understand Electrical and Mechanical schematics and drawings Must have a working knowledge and experience in use of Electronic equipment; Power Supplies, Voltage/Continuity/Current Meters, Data Recorders/Loggers, Gauges, etcLogic and sense of priorities (urgent / important)Teamwork and collaboration with other functions,Fluency in English (ALTE level 3) - able to use English on a daily basis (speaking, writing and reading).
