Our client is a Toronto-based GCP consulting company that is focused on helping a variety of businesses through cloud-based solutions. They are growing their team and are looking for a passionate Data Engineering Manager/Lead to continue to guide them to success.In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for clients. This role requires strong technical expertise in data engineering, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of delivering successful data projects.Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and coach a team of data engineers to ensure high-performance and professional developmentWork on end-to-end processes from design to production with a willingness and readiness to be hands-on and develop code themselvesCoordinate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Take on new challenges with a problem-solving mentalityRequirements:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in software development/data engineering with a focus on designing and implementing scalable data solutionsHands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders
